Support Us

There are a number of ways to support St Laurence:  through worship, through the giving of your time and through the giving of your talents.  We appreciate enormously the support we receive from those who assist in a wide variety of areas, ranging from flower arranging and gardening, through music and singing to finance, administration and sitting on the PCC(Parochial Church Council).  If you would like to support St Laurence Church in any of these aspects, please contact

In addition, there are various ways of giving financially: by donating directly to the Church or by supporting our Fund Raising initiatives.

On-Line Giving

Please visit our On-line Giving page using the link below, or scanning the QR code on the right :-

We are keeping a very close eye on the cost of running St. Laurence Church during the lockdown and have cut back on all non-essential spending, to minimise the impact on the budget set for the year.

Thank you to everyone who gives to sustain the life, mission and ministry of this church. We are extremely grateful for your support and sacrificial giving to enable church life at St. Laurence to flourish.

The main things we spend our income on, include:

  • Services and music
  • Children’s Church and other ministries and events
  • Helping children in local schools with their mental health
  • Contribution to the Diocese to cover clergy salaries and other costs
  • Running costs for our buildings
  • Maintaining and enhancing our historic church building and its churchyard
  • Local, UK and overseas charitable and mission giving

We encourage people to pray for the continuing life of the church, and to pray about what to give.  It would be particularly helpful if those who previously have given in cash each Sunday are able to move to online giving.

Please pay by Gift Aid if you can – it results in an extra 25% for church funds at no extra cost to yourself.

Free Will Offering

You can donate to St Laurence by monthly standing order, through weekly envelopes and via collections during services. If you are a tax payer, you can make a Gift Aid declaration which enables the Church  to reclaim tax on the donation.
